Day wise details

Day 01: ARRIVE MOSCOW:

On arrival in Moscow, you will be met by a Global Holidays representative who will assist you to your transfer to Hotel and Check In.(Standard /check in Time is 14:00 Hrs). Evening, an orientation tour of the city completes your first introduction to Russia. This is followed by Indian dinner.

Day 02: AT MOSCOW:

Morning excursion to Kremlin and the famous Armoury Museum. See the fabulous treasures of the Czars including an impressive collection of imperial jewels, golden thrones, a collection of world famous Faberge eggs and ornate icons. They are stunning. See the fine 18th century Senate building and seat of the Russian President.

After lunch, a tour of the Russian Metro. There is a saying 'the treasures of Russia are stored in the under grounds of Moscow.' You will appreciate this as we take you a short Metro tour. Each station in the central area is a veritable museum! Balance day free.

Day 03: MOSCOW – ST.PETERSBURG:

After breakfast, a guided city tour of Moscow... covering such famous highlights as St.Basil's multi coloured onion domed Cathedral, the Kremlin Walls, Red Square and Lenin's tomb. Free time at Arbat street for shopping.

After lunch, a cruise on the Moskva river. Evening: Included visit to the famous Russian Circus. Several of our clients who had done this program with us earlier had asked …'Why a Circus?' After the tour they said 'Our tour would not have been complete without its inclusion'. After Indian dinner board in over night train to St.Petersburg.

Day 04: ST. PETERSBURG:

Morning arrival at St.Petersburg.

Arrive St. Petersburg… one of the most beautiful cities in the world and recently restored to its original name after Peter the Great. Often called 'Venice of the North', St. Petersburg will astound you with its exquisite canals and convents, palaces and parks. You'll be captivated by its skyline, studded with golden cupolas of lavish churches and pastel-shade Baroque buildings

Evening enjoy Indian dinner and overnight stay at St.Petersburg.

Day 05: ST. PETERSBURG:

City sightseeing tour takes in Nevsky Prospekt, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Peter and Paul fortress, the Statue of Peter the Great.

Visit Pushkin Palace.

Evening, witness a vibrant Russian Folklore Show at the Nikolaevsky Palace. Indian dinner.

Day 06: AT ST. PETERSBURG:

Morning excursion to Petrodvorets, on the shores of the Gulf of Finland, to visit the elaborate summer Palace of Peter the Great. Admire the ornate interiors and stroll around its fabulous gardens with fountains and golden statues.

Afternoon we visit the Hermitage Museum formerly the Winter Palace. You will marvel at the unrivalled collections of masterpieces, ornate decors and the stunning Rococco interiors and stately staircases. Just about everything is GRAND!

Day 07: ST. PETERSBURG-HELSINKI:

Morning board your coach and drive to Helsinki through the highway. Arrive Helsinki, check into hotel. Evening, an orientation tour followed by Indian dinner.

Day 08: HELSINKI-STOCKHOLM - OVERNIGHT CRUISE:

Today, a city tour shows us Finlandia Hall, the Senate and Market Squares, broad boulevards and domed Russian Church. We visit Poorvo...Finland's 2nd oldest town, a beautiful city full of history. The timeless and unique atmosphere in Old Porvoo attracts travellers from all over the world.

The Old Town provides one of Porvoos most colourful sights and tourist attractions. Old Porvoo is famous for its narrow lanes and brick-coloured riverside warehouses. In the Empire-style part of the town, the low wooden houses belong to the classical town plan where the streets form squares. It is here that the home of Finland's greatest poet, Johan Ludvig Runeberg, provides one of Porvoo's most popular tourist attractions.

Return to Helsinki, Indian lunch and proceed to port for an overnight Cruise to Stockholm. Fun & entertainment. Dinner onboard.

Day 09: STOCKHOLM:

Morning, on arrival at the Swedish Capital Stockholm …"Beauty on Water", we proceed for a city tour. See Fjällgatan Viewpoint, Royal Palace, Old Town, Kings Garden...visit the City Hall (of Nobel prize fame)

Indian lunch followed by a ride on the Sky View... the new world-class attraction that takes you to the top of the world's largest spherical building, the Ericsson Globe, a Stockholm landmark. From the apex 130 meters (425 feet) above sea level, you get a fantastic view encompassing all of Stockholm. The two SkyView gondolas depart every 10 minutes, and the entire visit takes about 30 minutes.

Check into hotel. Indian dinner. Long daylight hours allow further explorations on your own.

Day 10: STOCKHOLM - KARLSTAD-OSLO:

After breakfast, we drive to Karlstad...the sunniest town in Sweden. Arrive in time for lunch. Then onto the Viking capital city of Oslo...upon arrival city tour including the Holmenkollen Skijump (outside view), Royal Palace, Karl Johan, Viking Museum and the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park where you will have some free time to admire the Array of modern sculptures, Akers Brygge and other major sights.

Indian dinner and check into hotel.

Day 11: OSLO-GEIRANGER:

Continue towards the fjord town of Geiranger.

Have your camera ready for a Spectacular scenic feast today as we drive along the lake Mjosa… the largest lake in Nordic country to the town of Lille Hamar… After lunch, we proceed to town of Lom via some of the most spectacular landscape that you can imagine. Then drive on to Geiranger via Dollsniba view point for a beautiful view of snowy mountains around and an overview of the Geiranger … king of the Fijord.

Arrive Geiranger and check into your superbly located hotel on the Geiranger Fjord… the best preserved natural landscape of the world. Truly the king of all fjords... a stay you will remember for a long time… great setting. Dinner at hotel.

Day 12: AT GEIRANGER:

An easy day today. You have time to relax at the Geiranger Fjord… many activity possible. Included today is an excursion to Trollstigen…. Depending on the time of the year, you could be almost "ploughing" though snow ! Then the spectacular Troll Route. Hold your breath as we drive along the Troll Ladder to the top at Trollstigen… free time here. You may have done many a mountain drive with bends. Usually they go around the mountain. Here it is a 'ladder' ... top to bottom in 11 genuine 'hair pin' bends on the same side/facade of the mountain... waterfalls at bends... 'chilling & spectacular'. Our tour director will regale you with the stories and myths of the Trolls. Then return to Geiranger.

Day 13: GEIRANGER-SOGNEDAL:

We will depart early today. We will board a ferry for a spectacular sailing on the Geiranger Fjord. Have your camera's ready… as we pass by the seven sisters waterfalls and some of the finest scenery in Norway. Then board your coach for a journey over the Josetedal Mountains with a view of the Boya glacier and then drive along the shores of Sognefjord to our hotel. Dinner at hotel.

Day 14: SOGNEDAL-FLAM-BERGEN:

A day to remember as we drive to Flam driving thru one of Norway's longest tunnel . Here, we board the world famous Flam scenic railway for a breathtaking journey. For 50 minutes the view through the carriage window is a constantly changing panorama of sky-high snow covered mountains, thundering waterfalls and green pastures at the bottom of the valley. At the Kjosfossen station, we disembark briefly to see the cascading waterfalls. Here look out as a 'Fairy' comes out and dances to music. And should you miss a sight or long to view it again, we take the same train back !... its rates as one of the most scenic rail journeys in the world. Continue to Myrdal, where we change over to a local train and travel to Voss. Thereafter to Bergen… Norway's most naturally beautiful city with its bustling harbour, flea market for bargain shopping and the colored row houses. Follows a visit to Flojen mountain by the funicular rail for a superb view of Bergen Fjord and surrounding area. Dinner at Indian restaurant. Check into hotel. Long daylight hours allows further exploration.

Day 15: BERGEN-COPENHAGEN:

Fly to the Danish capital today...On arrival proceed for a City Sightseeing of Copenhagen, see the Stock-exchange, Amalienborg Palace (from outside) where Denmark's 'Cycling Monarchy' - has its city home, the Little Mermaid … Denmark's most famous landmarks, Ströget Shopping Street.

Indian lunch followed by visit to the Carlsberg brewery and learn about the art of making beer.

Evening, we visit the Tivoli Gardens. Tivoli Gardens is a cross between a Old Fashion funfair, a series of Beer Gardens, sophisticated open air restaurants, concert houses, dance halls and Manicured Gardens. Evening is free to feel Copenhagen… walk down the Stroget … the pedestrian street. Window shop only.

Dinner at Indian restaurant.

Day 16: DEPART COPENHAGEN:

After Breakfast transfer to airport for your flight back to India.
