Day wise details

Day 01: Arrival in Cape Town:

On arrival at Cape Town, you will be met by a Global Holidays representative who will assist you to your transfer to Hotel and Check In. (Standard Check-in Time is 1400hrs).

Ascend Table Mountain for unforgettable sweeping views (weather permitting).

Return to the city and pass through the Malay Quarter.

Drive past the Castle of Good Hope, Houses of Parliament and the Company Gardens

Travel to Sea Point and Camp’s Bay for scenic ocean vistas

Visit the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront (time permitting).

Enjoy lunch at a local Indian restaurant. Upon arrival at the hotel, check in. Spend the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 02: Cape Peninsula Tour:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will be collected at your hotel for a Private Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour. Travel at a pace that allows you to explore the beauty of the Cape Peninsula.

Depart for the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve along one of South Africa’s most scenic routes, passing Hout Bay. Enjoy a cruise to Seal Island, to view seals and sea birds at Duiker Island (weather permitting). During summer, several thousand Cape Fur Seals – along with the rare Black Cormorant – lollop leisurely among the kelp beds. Travel along Chapman's Peak Drive (conditions permitting). Visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. The scenery en route to Cape Point, at the South Western tip of the reserve, is particularly lovely in spring when wildflowers carpet the landscape. The new lighthouse – the most powerful in the world – beams an electric light of 19 million candle power across the ocean. Ascend to the top of by Funicular. Return to your hotel and spend the balance of the day at leisure.

Day 03: Cape Winelands Tour:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. You will be met by your driver and guide for a Private Full Day Cape Winelands Tour.

  • Get swept away by the overwhelming beauty of rolling vineyards and perfect blue sky.
  • Start off with a visit to Paarl and the spectacular Paarl Valley.

Visit Anura Vineyards.

  • The Winery is situated on the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountains, between Stellenbosch and Paarl.

Day 04: Transfer to Knysna via Mossel Bay:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out.

You will be met by your driver and guide for a private transfer to Knysna via Mossel Bay.

  • Mossel Bay is situated exactly half way between Cape Town – the provincial capital of the Western Cape Province – and Port Elizabeth (both 400 km away).
  • The town offers more than 60 kilometres of beaches with warm, beach-going weather throughout the year. From the riches of the Indian Ocean, the Cape fynbos and the Outeniqua Mountains to the culture that stretches back over 164,000 years, this town offers so many things to do.

Explore the quaint town of Knysna known for its art & craft shops. “The place of the people, beauty and mystery.”

  • This ever-popular charming town of legend, history, arts and crafts catering to visitor’s every need or fancy.
  • The town is built on the banks of the Knysna Lagoon, a National Lake Area that falls under the protection of South African National Parks, is a home to more than 200 species of fish – including the rare Knysna seahorse – and is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Day 05: Oudtshoorn Tour:

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

Your driver and guide will collect you at your hotel for a Private Full Day Oudtshoorn Tour.

  • Oudtshoorn is the ostrich capital of the world. Nowhere else are ostriches found in such great number and nowhere else do they produce feathers of such fine quality – but the world’s biggest bird is just one attraction in an area of enormous contrasts.
  • Visit the Cango Caves, internationally renowned as one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. Their fascinating limestone formation occurs in a variety of ways.
  • Continue on to the Ostrich Ranch and come face to face with the biggest bird in the world.
  • Indian friendly lunch at the ostrich farm.
  • Finally, end your day at the Cango Wildlife Ranch. Over 300 crocodiles, ranging from 50 cm to four meters in length, inhabit the ranch.

Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 06: John Benn & Tsitsikamma National Park:

Breakfast at the hotel.

Embark on a morning ferry trip aboard the pleasure boat, the John Benn (weather permitting).

  • The John Benn is a double-decker floating restaurant offering daily Lagoon cruises to the Knysna Heads.
  • A memorable family activity on Knysna Lagoon.
  • Cruise to the Knysna Heads, on a boat steeped in history, named after a legendary pilot of a bygone era.

Enjoy a visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park.

  • The Tsitsikamma National Park is situated at the heart of the picturesque Garden Route.
  • Tsitsikamma is a Khoisan word meaning, “place of much water".
  • In 1964 when it was proclaimed, it became the first Marine National Park in Africa and today the Park incorporates 80 km (50 miles) of rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes.
  • The Tsitsikamma’s spectacular scenery includes the Indian Ocean breakers, pounding rocky shores beneath 180 m high cliffs, ever-green forests and fynbos rolling down to the sea.

Day 07: Knysna – Johanesburg, Johanesburg City Tour:

Breakfast at the hotel and check out.

Meet your driver and guide and transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight to Johannesburg.

Arrive at OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport, where you will be met by a Global Holidays representative who will assist you to your transfer.

You will be met by your driver and guide for a Private Half Day Johannesburg City Tour.

  • Drive past the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg City and surrounding areas.
  • Continue through downtown Johannesburg past the Supreme Court and Anglo American’s headquarters.

Enjoy a visit to Gold Reef City.

  • Built around an old gold mine, Gold Reef City is a reconstruction of Johannesburg during the Gold rush Era.
  • Enjoy a surface tour that begins with a fascinating introductory movie that tells the story about the earliest days of Jozi and the discovery of gold.
  • Visit the museum houses and stroll through the passages of time.
  • Witness molten gold being poured.
  • After the tour experience a 4D Show, Gold Panning and the rides.
  • Gold Reef City is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Set times for tours are 09h00, 10h00, 11h00, 12h00, 13h00 14h00 & 15h00.

Day 08: Pretoria Orientation Tour and Sun City day trip:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

You will be met by your driver and guide for a Pretoria Orientation Tour and Sun City day trip.

  • Visit the Jacaranda city and take in Pretoria’s past, present and future on this half day tour.
  • Sites include the Voortrekker Monument (entrance fee not included) and Paul Kruger’s House (entrance fee not included) as well as Church Square and the Union Buildings.
  • Towering at 9 meters tall, a bronze sculpture of the late Nelson Mandela can also be seen at the Union Buildings. The statue was unveiled in December 2013 and the Union Buildings has since been declared a national heritage site.

Visit Sun City.

  • Deep in the heart of the bushveld, at the heart of an ancient volcano, lays sensational Sun City.
  • Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure comprises four marvellous hotels, all offering the fantastic facilities of this legendary resort.
  • Sun City offers an enormous range of things to do – both indoors and out.
  • Scintillating entertainment; shows in the Sun City theatre, casinos, games and video arcade, a selection of movies in the cinema complex.
  • Wonderful selection of shops and boutiques stocking souvenirs and mementoes of your visit to one of the greatest resorts of them all!

Return to Johannesburg.

Day 09: Arrival in Livingstone:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

You will be met by your driver-guide for your private transfer to the airport for your flight to Livingstone.

Arrive at Livingstone Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Check in on arrival and enjoy lunch at the hotel.

Spend the balance of the day at leisure

Day 10: Scheduled Tour of the Victoria Falls & Sundowner Cruise:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

You will be met by your driver-guide in the hotel reception and walk over to the entrance of the Falls for your Scheduled Tour of the Falls.

  • The Falls are described as one of the seven natural wonders of the world and Zambia boasts some spectacular views.
  • Guests will find out how the Falls were formed and what local customs and traditions surround them. This tour is very informative and ends time permitting with a visit to the art and crafts centre.
  • During the high water season you may get wet so dress appropriately with shoes that do not slip. After the tour, guests are driven back to their hotel.
  • Tours may be booked in the morning or afternoon and times are flexible.

You will be met by your driver-guide in the hotel reception and depart to the launch site of your scheduled Sundowner Cruise on the Zambezi River.

  • Heed the call of Africa while sipping traditional cocktails and enjoying snacks.
  • You will be collected at 15h30 in winter and 16h00 in the summer months in time for the cruise departures at 16h00 in winter and 16h30 in summer.
  • Following this most memorable of experiences, you will be transferred back to your hotel between 18h30 and 19h00 (winter and summer respectively).

Day 11: Departure to Mumbai:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. You will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to Livingstone Airport for your departure to Mumbai.
